The Alternative Eating Store is a blessing for me for many reasons. It is the only truly gluten free store in the area that allows you to shop without worry that the product might contain gluten. Laure has an extensive nursing and nutrition background and will graciously answer any questions you might have, which is great for the newly diagnosed. She is also well versed regarding the products in her store which helps you to pick something geared toward your taste. I especially love the days when she has a tasting party, because not only do you get to taste new and different items, you also get a 15% reduction in your bill on that day, and who doesn’t love to save a little money. Her piggy punch card is another money saver. For every $50.00 you spend, you get $5.00 off your next purchase. The selections of products are vast, go see for yourself. The Alternative Eating Store will always be my first choice for gluten free shopping. My thanks to Laurie for making eating fun again.

Alternative Eating appeared just when I needed them. They were there with support, information, and some of the best tasting gluten free food available. I enjoy going there on a Saturday just to browse and see what’s new. And they are right in my neighborhood, on Main Ave where they’re easy to reach. Then Alternative Eating opened the store. Laure and her family are great. They explain everything about the disease.
Her store has a good selection of foods. And everything is gluten-free.
Several years ago I was diagnosed with Celiac disease and was put on a complete gluten free diet. It was a very difficult time in my life until I found a store called “Alternative Eating” owned by Laure Stasik who is also an RN, dietician & has Celiac herself. When I first walked into the store & found everything was gluten free I felt like a child in a candy store, such a wide variety of gluten free products. Laure is also very helpful in selecting different products for me because she eats them as well. Laure & her wonderful store has been my salvation. Expertise in educating & helping me live a healthier life.
